New for Spring 2020! A little piece of Norway in Somerset…
Fjell Hytte is a Norwegian-style mountain hut. Ready for bookings from Easter 2020, this scandinavian take on a traditional shepherd’s hut will be a lovely, peaceful and slightly quirky place for a break.
Rent the hut for the weekend or week, and enjoy:
- Your own private retreat
- Wood-burning stove
- Open plan space with living area and kitchenette equipped with fridge, stove, grill, toaster & microwave
- Double bed and private shower room
- Private outside seating area with fire pit and stunning country views
- Secure off road parking for cars, motorbikes and bicycles
- Use of two bicycles – perfect for exploring the countryside!
A cosy little retreat, perfect for being at one with nature, outside by the bbq in the warmer months, or tucked away by the wood burner on those colder nights, glass of wine in hand, trying not to be too competitive at Scrabble!!
The bed is super cosy, a traditional Swedish Box Bed*.
Note: The hut is a rural country retreat. There is no internet, and no TV. There is a portable DVD player with a selection of classic films, games and books. The hut is not suitable for those with mobility issues as it’s a 120m walk from our private parking. There is a trolley for luggage and provisions if required and it’s a downhill drag on grass paths!
*Those over 6’2” may prefer our cabin…
You have the 3 acre field to roam in, leading to local footpaths (and the village pub). The barn stores bicycles for guest use.
The cabin is in a secluded and private location with three acres of land to enjoy. It is also conveniently located to explore the local area. The nearest pub, the Royal Oak, is a mile away (you can walk across fields, or along the lane), while the local post office, garage/shop and butchers in West Coker are a 20 minute walk. You’ll need a car or bike to explore further afield, but two bicycles are provided for your convenience.
Bookings from Easter 2020 are now being accepted for Fjell Hytte! Please complete the form below for details.
